This year the 7th Yerevan International Short Film Festival will be held from July 29 to August 2 in Yerevan and Tavush region. The general sponsor of the festival is Yerevan Municipality, the sponsor is the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
The goal of the festival is to identify young and talented filmmakers, promote the development of their professional skills, strengthen interaction between young filmmakers from different countries, and form a new generation of cinematographers.

“We are happy to support this important cultural program. Yerevan Municipality pays great attention to the development of cinematography. "For the second year in a row, Yerevan Municipality has become the main sponsor of the festival," said Gevorg Sahakyan, Deputy Head of the Culture and Tourism Department of Yerevan Municipality, at a press conference dedicated to the festival.

The film festival will feature creative meetings, film shows and discussions, master classes, round tables, and presentations.  All the festival events have free admission. Viewers will have the opportunity to watch short films that have won awards at prestigious international film festivals.

"This year, more than 700 applications from 85 countries were submitted for participation in the 7th Yerevan International Short Film Festival. The competition program included 46 films from 20 countries. The chairman of the festival jury is Cannes Film Festival laureate, actor, film director, screenwriter Serzh Avetikyan," said Guzh Tadevosyan, Director of the Yerevan International Short Film Festival.
