After the renovation, another kindergarten reopened in Yerevan
Founded in the 80s, Yerevan kindergarten N 22 is another one where new and safe conditions have been provided for around 230 children.
The program launched in 2021 fundamentally changed the environment of the educational institution. The project was implemented within the framework of the Yerevan Energy Efficiency Program.
The total cost of this important project is around 15 million euros. It is financed by the European Investment Bank, the Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership Fund, the Green Climate Fund and Yerevan community budget.
As a compulsory component of the works, seismic strengthening and energy-efficient measures were also fulfilled here. Solar photovoltaic panels, LED lights were installed, thermal insulation was carried out, due to which the financial costs of energy maintenance of public buildings will be reduced by about 50%.
The total number of kindergartens planned for the first stage of the project is 50. 8 out of 15 kindergartens scheduled for overhauling, reconstruction and seismic modernization have already been put into operation. Another 5 are under construction.
All kindergartens in Yerevan will be fundamentally renovated within municipal and international programs.
