Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan had a meeting with the representatives of “Renovation Project Management Company”. During the meeting the Mayor was presented the proposal of construction of the new residential complex adjacent to Halabyan street. According to the draft, the construction of five blocks of flats is planned which will completely solve the problem of resettlement of the residents of six blocks of flats with high emergency rank located in the area. The resettlement is to start only after the completion of the buildings. It is planned that the residents of damaged blocks of flats can get renovated flats with equal surface in the blocks, and those residents who own garages can get parking spots in underground parking areas.

Mayor Hayk Marutyan attached importance to the social component of the program as it will settle the problem of resettlement of the residents of damaged buildings and provide them with safe and comfortable flats. Besides, only 6000 sq m of the area of 35000 sq m is provided for construction: the rest of the area is to be well-planned and landscaped to be turned into public areas.
Yerevan Mayor once again stressed that the community is ready to support all investors and developers who solve problems of social significance in parallel with the improvement of the city. In near future the project will be presented for the RA Government discussion.
