Armenia’s National Para Hockey Team to participate in World Championship
Women and men are in one team. Armenia’s National Team of Para Hockey is getting ready for the World Championship. Before that the team played a show game at the skate-rink of Yerevan sport school of figure skating and hockey.
Yerevan Deputy Mayor Gevorg Simonyan, members of Yerevan Council of Elders were present at the show. The Deputy Mayor informed that they had initiated a number of other similar events aimed at the development and spreading of sport among disabled people.
Armenia’s National Team of Para Hockey was founded in 2017. The number of those interested has significantly increased. Hockey is not simply a sport for them but a strength to overcome challenges and evaluate their own capabilities.
The whole income from the project will be transferred to the team to get ready for the World Championship to be held in Thailand.
Such programs aimed at the solution of the problems of people with disabilities are included in the annual programs of the community.
