Armenia Becomes a Full Member of the European Federation of Internal Medicine (EFIM)
The 23rd European Congress of Internal Medicine and the General Assembly of the European Federation took place in Florence, Italy, from March 5-8, 2025. During the event, the Armenian Association of Internal Medicine invited Davit Karapetyan, Head of the Yerevan Municipality Department of Health, Armine Zohrabyan, Deputy Head of the same department, and the directors of four municipal healthcare institutions to participate.
During the General Assembly of the European Federation, the Armenian Association of Internal Medicine was unanimously elected to become a full member of the European Federation of Internal Medicine, and the Republic of Armenia became the 43rd member country.
The six-year activity of the Armenian Association of Internal Medicine was presented, which included the professional development of internal medicine doctors, the exchange of knowledge and experience, as well as the development of preventive and longevity medicine, and the development and implementation of internal medicine diagnostic and treatment standards and guidelines in Armenia.
