Yerevan Municipality has installed a unified system for processing data received from GPS devices. This system is already used in the public transport sector. Data on the number of passengers registered on buses, as well as the video surveillance system, are now available online. The data obtained from about 550 buses help to monitor their movement and route, which makes it possible to manage routes and their intervals. During the regular working meeting, it was reported that the bus video surveillance system is already available online. The Yandex app will soon provide information on the waiting time for the arrival of buses on an additional 16 routes. It is planned to include not only the rolling stock of the "Yerevan Bus" company but also the trolleybuses of the "Elektrotransport" CJSC in the system.

Regarding the implementation of the transport system, Mayor Tigran Avinyan noted that it was quite a complex process, which included not only the purchase of rolling stock and retraining of drivers, but also the implementation of many technical systems. "All this enormous work has one goal - to have a stable, high-quality transport system in Yerevan that will not wear out and disappear in a few years. In the end, our goal is not for people to pay more. We will follow a flexible pricing system in all possible cases," the Mayor said and instructed to find the minimum option for the phased implementation of a unified transport system.

The JSC "Yerevan Bus" needs drivers with a Category "D" driving license to replenish the fleet. Currently, there are still 44 vacant positions. Mayor Avinyan instructed to conduct courses for drivers at the "Yerevan Bus" company. "For our drivers, we provide a good salary, health insurance, also provide for payment for overtime work and downtime. Conditions have been created so that drivers perform their work and do not engage in any cash transactions," the Mayor emphasized.
