Public areas to be returned to townspeople: “Ararat” tennis club to have renovated and more convenient facilities: Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan
28 of 30 new buses purchased by the community are already in Yerevan, the rest two ones will arrive in a few days. During the regular working meeting it was reported that within 15-20 days the new buses will come out on the itineraries.

To improve the 4th segment of Circular park the various restaurants and cafes will be removed from the area. This concerns the “Ararat” tennis club as well: it will be replaced to another area, reconstructed in provided with more comfortable facilities.
“Circular park is the only green zone of the city’s downtown, and restoration of the green zone is our priority. We speak about public interest. The tennis club should undoubtedly be reconstructed and become available for everyone; thus, the location is not so important: the club will get a new area and carry on its work. It is a social program: a certain company is ready to undertake social responsibility and invest significant amounts into restoration of public areas so as to be able to fulfil further servicing of these areas”, marked Mayor Avinyan.

Renovation of bridges started the previous year will be continued this year. In 2024, it is planned to complete the capital renovation of Kievyan bridge.

In 2023, the number of dismantled illegally working filling stations was 24. It was reported that in accordance with the studies, 43 gas stations of 242 ones working in Yerevan have been operated with violations of norms. It was instructed to take measures in this regard.
“This should serve as a signal for those who carry out illegal activities and they must dismantle those constructions as soon as possible. The operation of filling stations that work with violations of norms must be stopped as it causes problems with security”, stressed the Mayor.

The reconstruction of the park located between quarters 1 and 2 of Davtashen is still going on. The area will have new external lighting and irrigation systems, comfortable gazebos, benches, trashcans, a new fountain composition will be constructed as well.

Policlinics N5, 12 and “Nor Arabkir” health centre are under renovation. These medical establishments have been overhauled for the first time.

The construction of a new recreation zone in the plot of 2500 sq m adjacent to St. Gregory the Illuminator church is coming to its final stage. The area will stand out with new solutions: harmony with the surroundings: fountains, basins, energy saving external lighting, comfortable benches.

To continue the reforms of the Patrol police the community police will be formed in Yerevan. The project is already ready and will be put into operation in no time.
