During the first working meeting of 2017 held in Yerevan City Hall Mayor Taron Margaryan referring to the problem of snow cleaning on holidays instructed to go on the activities in a strengthened mode.

“Today we can state that all central streets of the capital have been cleaned up and are completely passable. At the same time we have to admit that there is still a lot to be done particularly in secondary streets, sidewalks and almost in all courtyards and inter-yard areas. As a result of the cold weather and inappropriate work layers of ice appeared in courtyards causing a lot of inconvenience for people. Apparently, the situation is caused by inappropriate work of the company responsible for sanitary cleaning”, said Taron Margaryan.
The Mayor also instructed to go on removing icicles hanging on the roofs of blocks of flats and public buildings.
During the meeting it was also reported that the control is going on over keeping the norms of obligatory improvement of the surroundings by entities which is required by the decision of the Council of Elders of Yerevan. Accordingly, 11 cases of violation were fixed in December of 2016. The Mayor instructed to take corresponding measures to ensure meeting the requirements for obligatory improvement.
