Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan on spot watches the process of elimination of the consequences of unprecedented heavy snowfalls in the capital. The persons in charge reported to the Mayor that snow cleaning activities had been started since early in the morning and the traffic areas in the central and secondary streets were cleaned first. It was also reported that all the corresponding structures of the Municipality and the communal services of the 12 administrative districts had been involved in the activities. The process is coordinated on the spots by the heads of the administrative district.
Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed the persons in charge to carry out the work in uninterrupted regime and to report regularly on the work done, and in case of need to involve additional machinery. The Mayor instructed the heads of the administrative districts to keep the process under personal control and watch the proper implementation on the spots. Taron Margaryan also instructed to organize the cleaning of the pavements in parallel. Besides, the Mayor instructed to organize snow cleaning in yard areas after finishing the activities in traffic areas.
