The First Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan met with the delegation headed by Saint Petersburg Vice Governor Anna Mityanina which is in Yerevan with an official visit within the scope of Saint Petersburg days in Yerevan. The RA General Consul in Saint Petersburg Hrayr Karapetyan and the head of Yerevan Municipality representation in Saint Petersburg Armenak Karapetyan tookpart in the meeting too. Greeting the guests on behalf of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan Kamo Areyan said that holding of already traditional Yerevan Days in Saint Petersburg and Saint Petersburg Days in Yerevan proves the high level of relationship and sincere friendship between the two cities. Kamo Areyan expressed confidence that the events and working meetings organized within this framework will give a new stimulus to the realization of programs between Yerevan and Saint Petersburg. Expressing gratitude for warm welcome Anna Mityanina asked to convey Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan the warm greetings from Governor Georgi Poltavchenko and stressed that Saint Petersburg Government attaches particular importance to relationship with Yerevan which involve not only effective cooperation but also strong friendship.
Stressing the fact that during the recent years the cooperation between Yerevan and Saint Petersburg grew in effectiveness and quality the Vice Governor noted that this fact is reflected in already implemented and to be implemented programs in various spheres of urban economy.
During the meeting the parties discussed the issues related to the events and working meetings to be held within the scope of Saint Petersburg days in Yerevan.
