“Yerevan for Women” is a new cultural project for women living and creating in the capital. Yerevan Municipality announced an open grant competition in six nominations. The goal of the project is to encourage women via popularization of the cultural values created by them.
As the deputy head of Yerevan Municipality Department of Culture and Tourism Gevorg Sahakyan marked, women and men are equally talented however their representation in art is not equal. Thus, the aim of the initiative is to provide women with an extra platform for self-expression.
The promo campaign of the project is not traditional. The concert program organized in Charles Aznavour square was a part of the initiative.
