By the decision of Yerevan Council of Elders, a clear order has been set in relation to obligatory well-arrangement of the public areas adjacent to real property. In accordance to the decision, economy entities are obliged not only clean the fallen snow, but also to remove the ice and snow piles from the asphalt and tiled surfaces in their surroundings. During the regular working meeting Mayor Tigran Avinyan instructed the people in charge for the sphere to carry our inspections on the spots to see the situation. The Mayor urged the economy entities to meet the obligations set by the Council of Elders.

The problem of resettlement of 57 families of the 63 ones living in three buildings with 4th level of emergency at Artsakh street 4th lane, has been solved. 30 of those families got new flats, 27 ones got certificates for purchasing flats. The process will be continued.
“It is an important achievement for us: within a short time, we were able to solve the problem of 57 families. Next, we must solve the problem of the residents of emergency buildings in Arzumanyan street and all other damaged buildings. There must be no so-badly damaged residential buildings in Yerevan”, stressed the Mayor.

20 lifts for people with locomotor disabilities are going to be installed in Yerevan. The project is an important component of the program aimed at making Yerevan more convenient and accessible for everyone. In a few days, the lift at the underground passage near the school after Kamo will be put into use. The process is going to start in the underground passing near the market in Komitas avenue. Preparations are going on in the underground passages at Kilikia bus station, the administrative district in Garegin Nzhdeh street, Haghtanak park surroundings.
“The problem of long-term servicing of lifts needs solution We either have to purchase services alleging cleanness and operation of lifts, or we have to move in private-community cooperation logic, but in latter case the passages must no be turned into a row of pavilions”, outlined the Mayor.

Within the scope of community-private sector cooperation the former figure skating school will be renovated. After the reconstruction, the sport establishment will be named Yerevan Single Combat Highest Mastership Sport School and will serve a new modern platform for training and gaining new achievements.

In the surroundings of “Mother Armenia” statue the community plans to construct a tennis court. The process of making up the design and estimate documentation has started. To construct such a tennis court appropriate plots were submitted by Arabkir and Shengavit districts.
