New water cleaning facilities and garbage collectors built in Yerevan have been put into operation
The new water treatment plant and garbage collectors built in Yerevan will prevent garbage from entering and accumulating in the Getar and Hrazdan rivers. Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan attended the opening of the water cleaning facilities.
The first preliminary biological water treatment station in the capital also filters the water, due to which large and small garbage will no longer accumulate, and the problem of odor is also solved due to air diffusion (aeration).
Garbage collectors have been installed in Shengavit administrative district and in the middle part of Davtashen and Kyiv bridges. 368 million drams have been allocated from the state and municipal budgets for the construction of the water cleaning station and two garbage collectors.
