Unified ticket system website transport.yerevan.am has been launched

23.12.2024

During a regular working meeting, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan introduced the website transport.yerevan.am, the tools of which will be constantly updated. Via the website, citizens can already get acquainted with new ticket packages, calculate the most affordable ticket using the calculator and check whether they can take advantage of discounts by entering the public services number. To get more complete information about the unified ticket system, citizens can use the frequently asked questions section.
"The introduction of a unified ticket system is a very important part of the digital transformation of Yerevan Municipality, and my team and I are convinced that today it is impossible to provide truly high-quality services to citizens without digitalization of the system. I would also like to inform you that the transport.yerevan.am portal is the first service of the unified platform of services provided by the city. What is a unified platform of digital services? Yerevan residents will have their own personal account on the website, access to all services in one place, from one account, and there will be no need to visit different sites, have different accounts. This is something that is already being implemented in many developed cities. And therefore, I count not only, and perhaps not so much on your assessment, but also on proper feedback containing objective criticism and suggestions," the Mayor emphasized.
Very soon, through the site it will be possible not only to get informed about ticket packages, but also to purchase them by attaching your bank card as a carrier, and there will be no need to stand in lines, purchase physical carriers, and from an environmental point of view there will be no additional number of transport cards. This relates both to ordinary users who are not included in any privilege group, and our citizens who are included in special groups, who will receive their privileges through the site.
"We receive information that should be the basis for providing a benefit, for example, as a pensioner, a disabled person, from the relevant structures and do not collect the data ourselves. Therefore, if people do not find information on the site when checking their privileges or the system gives information that this person is not included in the preferential group, then they should contact the relevant structures and use this time to update the data," said Vice Mayor Suren Grigoryan. From January 1, the transport ticket system will be transferred to an exclusively cashless payment method.
"Previous tariffs will still be in effect. New application processing tools will also work. In January, we must fully ensure this transformation, moving from the old model to the new one," Tigran Avinyan emphasized.
