Yervand Manaryan and Mikhail Piotrovsky are awarded with Honorary Citizen of Yerevan title
During the regular meeting of the Council of Elders of Yerevan, at the proposal of the Mayor of the capital, the members of the Council discussed and approved unanimously the draft decisions on awarding the “honorary Citizen of Yerevan” title to the RA People’s Artist Yervand Manaryan and the director of the State Hermitage, Academician Mikhail Piotrovsky.

From now on the segment of Main avenue (segment between Saryan, Buzand,Karen Demirchyan streets and Mashtots avenue will be named after the eminent Armenian public figure, writer, Honorary Consul of the First Republic of Armenia to Japan, Maecenas Diana Abgar. The corresponding draft decision was approved by the members of the Council of Elders of Yerevan.

The recruitment of the personnel and technical maintenance of the municipal establishment “Trash removal and sanitary cleaning of Yerevan” is going on. This organization has undertaken the responsibility for trash removal and sanitary cleaning since August 2019. To provide proper sanitary cleaning it is planned to purchase special vacuum cleaners. Taking into account that the process requires a lot of time, the Council made a decision to increase the number of employees by 206 people.

The system of the decorative illumination of Yerevan TV Tower will be modernized. By the decision of the Council the system was transferred to “Television and Radio Broadcast Network of Armenia” CJSC.

The next meeting of the Council of Elders of Yerevan is scheduled for November 26.
