Overground communication lines in 28 streets of Yerevan to be replaced underground: approximately 80 km of trenches to be dug
With the aim of restoration of memorial buildings in Yerevan, the latter were inventoried in teamwork with the Ministry of ESCS. During the regular working meeting it was reported that about 50 memorial buildings which are in private ownership were enlisted. These buildings need restoration, and by the decision of the Council of Elders made in 2023, the owners were notified.
Mayor Avinyan expressed confidence in rapid solution of the problem related to memorial buildings in Yerevan. There are already restoration designs for the buildings approved by the ESCS Ministry, and the city authorities intend to keep these projects at special focus.

Last week, about 550 street billboards placed without permission were dismantled. 21% of those billboards were owned by major economic entities.

The green zone adjacent to Torq Angegh statue in Nor Nork will be turned into a special park. The second phase of the project starts in a few days.

In 2023, about 1100 benches were placed and 2230 ones were repaired in the capital city. This year there will be a similar approach to installation of benches in all administrative districts as clear standards have been worked out in this regard.

Within the frames of the contract signed between Yerevan Municipality, the Association of French-speaking Mayors (AIMF), the historical and archaeological reserve-museum “Erebuni” and the Grenoble Centre for Soil Archeology Studies, one of the brick walls of Karmir Blur archaeological site, as well as the entrance to the citadel will be restored. To carry out the project a brick manufacture was created, and more than 1000 bricks have been manufactured. The restoration activities are planned to be started in April.
