“Yerevan Residents’ Security Is Priority for Us”: Mayor Tigran Avinyan Hands Keys to New Flats and Certificates for Purchasing Flats to Residents of Damaged Buildings
From now on residents of dormitory building N10 and the building N 10/1 at Artsakh street 4th lane, will be living in safe and comfortable conditions. Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan handed the keys to new flats and certificates for purchasing new flats to approximately 40 families.
While visiting the vulnerable areas a couple of months ago, Tigran Avinyan promised the residents that the problem rooted for years will be solved.
“I am happy that just within a few months after our meeting, we can fix this important result. We strive to ensure that no residents of Yerevan live in the buildings of the 4th level of emergency, as Yerevan residents’ safety is a priority for us”, emphasized the Mayor.
After several negotiations, the city authorities kicked off the practical stage and finally reached the fundamental solutions.
With the purchase certificates it is possible to buy flats both in old and newly built residential buildings; some of the residents get the keys to the flats from the existing fund.
Although the community has no mandatory obligation to improve housing conditions, they attach importance to the situation with the buildings of the 4th level of emergency, and thereby undertook the mission of solving the problem of resettlement of those residents with governmental support and in cooperation with developers.
