First Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Armen Pambukhchyan and Deputy Mayor Levon Hovhannisyan received the delegation headed by Tbilisi City Council Chairman Giorgi Tkemaladze. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Armenia H.E. Mr. Giorgi Sharvashidze participated in the meeting as well.
The Georgian delegation visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex. The members of the delegation laid a wreath and flowers at the Eternal Flame memorizing all the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
Welcoming the guests, the First Deputy Mayor of Yerevan emphasized the Armenian-Georgian friendly ties and partnership relations and assured that the visit of the delegation will promote the expansion of ties and experience exchange between the legislative bodies of the two capitals.
The parties outlined that the meetings and discussions to be held during the visit contribute to more effective interaction and more developed cooperation between the Council of Elders and will promote new opportunities in collaboration as well.
