International Memorial Youth Freestyle Wrestling Tournament held n Yerevan
The 14th International Memorial Youth Freestyle Wrestling tournament commemorating the USSR Distinguished Coach for wrestling Rudolf Karapetyan and the USSR Master of Sport of international class Yeghishe Karapetyan was held in Yerevan. The sport event was organized with the support of Yerevan Municipality.
The RA Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Karen Giloyan , the head of Yerevan Municipality Department of Sport and Youth Affairs Arsen Makvetsyan, the head of nor Nork administrative district Armen Mheryan and others were present at the event.
About 220 young wrestlers from Armenia, Russia, Georgia and Iran participated in 10 weight categories. The traditional tournament is an important checkout for young wrestlers.
Armenian athletes stood out with their skills and achieved 8 gold, 6 silver and 10 bronze medals.
The winners were awarded with trophies, medals, diplomas. In accordance with final results the national team of Armenia will be formed.
