During the Christmas holidays the most hospitable spots were Republic square, and the fountain park dedicated to the 2750th anniversary of Yerevan foundation with its concert programs and Christmas fair.
The festive events organized by Yerevan Municipality were completed on January 6. Ruben Hakhverdyan and Forsh performed their songs dedicated to Yerevan, its people and eternal love reigning in our city.
The First Deputy Mayor Levon Hovhannisyan, Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan, the head of Kentron administrative district Samvel Ghukasyan, heads of the Municipality subdivisions were present at the concert together with numerous townspeople and guests of the capital.
According to Levon Hovhannisyan, children’s high mood shows that the festive events were expected and enjoyable. Besides, numerous tourists who visit Yerevan during the Christmas holidays, had the opportunity to feel the delightful atmosphere.
Tigran Avinyan outlined that even throughout the hardships we are facing these days, a positive mood is of high importance for the city, townspeople, and guests. The deputy Mayor added that this year more projects will be carried out in the sphere of culture.
The head of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Yerevan Municipality Gosh Sargsyan informed that during the Christmas holidays they organized 9 concerts in which more than 30 artists participated.
New Year and Christmas events traditionally give the opportunity to discover Yerevan anew.
In 2023 the capital city promises to be more culture oriented.
