Armenian gymnasts returned in triumph from the first stage of the World Cup held in Cottbus, Germany. Olympic silver and bronze medalist, world and European champion Arthur Davtyan won the gold medal in the vault event, scoring 14.900 points. European vice-champion, absolute world cup holder Vahagn Davtyan won the gold medal and became the champion in the rings event, scoring 14.133 points. The city authorities will continue to support the athletes by creating new opportunities to keep the Armenian flag flying high.
