Hayk Marutyan: Yerevan is the city which can accept challenges and win
During the regular working meeting Mayor Hayk Marutyan expressed gratitude to all those people whose efforts and hard work let Yerevan solve the problem with trash removal.
“I’d like to express my gratitude to all those people who have been working with us all recent months owing to which we have overcome the crisis with trash removal, to all private organizations and to my colleagues from other cities who disinterestedly supported us and did their best for our city. I am also grateful to the residents who patiently waited for the settlement of the problem. It was an important victory not only for us but for the capital as well. Yerevan is the city which can accept challenges and win”, said the Mayor of the capital.

Since March 2019 up today “The centre for neutralization of stray animals” SNCO have vaccinated, sterilized and chipped 2000 dogs. The mayor was reported that the municipal organization had implemented more than 60% of the work planned.

During the weekly meeting Mayor Marutyan instructed to discuss the issues related to the new transport network in teamwork with bus producing companies. The discussion should include the issues related to bus production, price policy and further maintenance.

The director of “Yerkaghluys” company reported that the inventory of the cable facilities of external lighting network in Nor Nork and Nork Marash administrative districts had been completed. As a result, the incomes of the company for the month increased by AMD 2 million 180 thousand. Within the last four months, as a result of the inventory carried out in 6 administrative districts, the incomes of the company increased approximately by AMD 104 million. Stressing the importance of this process the Mayor expressed gratitude for systematic work.

The preparations for “Erebuni-Yerevan” celebration are going on in accordance with the determined schedule. The Mayor was reported that festive events are to be held in all administrative districts.

The cultural program “Tumanyan’s days in Tbilisi” dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the great Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan was to be held in the capital of the Republic of Georgia, Tbilisi from 24 to 26 of October. A number of events have been arranged within the frames of the program: visits to the Armenian historical and cultural sights of Tbilisi, the meeting of the representatives of Armenian and Georgian intelligentsia to be held in the scientific and cultural centre “Hovhannes Tumanyan’s house”. At the same time Yerevan Days will be held in Vanadzor. The Mayor instructed to ensure proper organization and holding of these two cultural events.
