The trucks replacing building materials often move in inappropriate areas and pollute the streets of the city. Mayor Hayk Marutyan referred to this problem during the weekly working meeting. It was instructed to take measures jointly with the Road police to discipline the drivers in accordance with law. Besides, additional control will be set in this direction.
“If the drivers stay unpunished such cases will be repeated. Besides imposing penalties, we must consider the issue of expenditures necessary for cleaning the streets polluted as a result of movement of the trucks, There is also a list of streets affirmed by the government, particularly in the city centre, where entrance of trucks is forbidden without special permission. It is necessary to set control and ensure implementation of this decision”, said the Mayor.

The community of Yerevan carries on the process of purchasing trash containers. During the working meeting the representative of “Sanitek” company once again stressed that currently the company is not going to buy new trash removing trucks and containers. “Sanitek” isn’t discussing the issue of cooperation with the Municipality with the aim of settling the problem with trash removal. The Mayor was reported that this week the Municipality is going to start the monitoring of the technical facilities of “Sanitek” and their accordance with the contract.
