The EBRD Green Cities Mayors’ Meeting, held in London on June 22–23, brought together urban development leaders, representatives of international financial institutions and private sector to explore ways of making cities greener, more resilient, and more sustainable.
Sona Tevanyan, Advisor to the Mayor of Yerevan, and Aneta Babayan, Director of the Yerevan Urban Development PIU, attended the event. Discussions focused on financing opportunities, project implementation, and expanding international cooperation in urban development programs.
A key component of the meeting was the exchange of experience among participating cities in project implementation, monitoring, and financing. Participants also explored a number of successful urban development projects and discussed sustainable solutions introduced in London.
The event gave the Yerevan delegation an opportunity to become acquainted with cutting-edge practices in urban development and to foster new partnerships aimed at the effective implementation of Yerevan’s development programs.
