Within the frames of “Erebuni-Yerevan 2797” celebration, following the decision of the Council of Elders of Yerevan made on October 8, 2015, Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan awarded the title of “Honorary Citizen of Yerevan” to the composer, conductor, RA Honoured Art Worker, RA People’s Artist, the chief conductor and art director of the symphonic orchestra of the State Television and Radio Yervand Yerznkyan, to the professional boxer, world repeated champion Arthur Abraham, to the singer, RA People’s Artist Raisa Mkrtchyan, to the singer, the Arm SSR “People’s Artist” Ruben Matevosyan.
Congratulating and handing the certificates Mayor Taron Margaryan expressed gratitude for the devoted work and stressed that owing to them Yerevan is becoming more recognizable to the world.
The mayor expressed confidence that the title of the Honorary Citizen will become an additional stimulus for going on contributing to Yerevan and its townspeople.
