During the special meeting called on October 8, the Council of Elders of Yerevan approved by voting of the drafts on giving the title of «Honorary Citizen of Yerevan» to the composer, RA Honorary Art Worker, RA People's Artist, the chief-conductor and art director of the symphonic orchestra of the State Television and Radio of Armenia Yervand Yerznkyan; to the professional boxer, repeated world champion Arthur Abraham; to the singer, RA People's Artist Raisa Mkrtchyan; to the singer, Arm SSR People's Artist Ruben Matevosyan.
The Council of Elders also approved of the draft decisions on free alienation of flats to the families of azatamartiks fallen or injured in Artsakh War.
The Council of Elders discussed and approved of the draft decisions on free alienation of flats to the Armenian writer, playwright Wahram Sahakyan, to the RA Honorary Art Figure, the member of the Union of Journalists of Armenia Zara Arayan, to the composer, singer, RA Honorary Artist David Amalyan and to the soloist of the National Theater of Opera and Ballet Perch Qarazyan.
