Within the frames of Yerevan Days exhibition of Armenian manuscripts is open in Saint Petersburg
ВWithin the frames of Yerevan Days held in Yerevan Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Aram Sukiasyan and the RA General Consul in Saint Petersburg Hrayr Karapetyan were present at the ceremony of opening of the exhibition “World on pages”. Hand-written books and documents in Armenian preserved in the library of the Russian National Library since 1805 will be exhibited in the manuscripts hall of the library.
Presenting the samples the persons in charge noted that the documents of XIII-XIX centuries came from the chancery of Catholicoses of Echmiadzin, Cilician and Jerusalem patriarchies. it was also noted that approximately 2000 Armenian manuscripts are kept currently in the RF state archives.
