Tovmas Poghosyan has been awarded with Yerevan Mayor's medal
The jubilee concert dedicated to the 60th birthday of the collector of folk songs, teacher, performer of folk songs Tovmas Poghosyan was held in the National Theater of Opera and Ballet . The First Lady Rita Sargsyan, the Prime Minister Ovik Abrahamyan, the RA Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan were present at the concert. On the event of the 60th birthday and for spreading the Armenian folk songs, for significant contribution to the sphere of culture the RA People's Artist, candidate of Philology, professor of the State Conservatoire after Komitas, the president of "Sayat Nova" Cultural Union Tovmas Poghosyan was awarded with the gold medal of Yerevan Mayor. Congratulating the singer on behalf of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan the Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan handed the high prize to him.
