On the occasion of the 2796th anniversary of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan awarded a number persons with the gold medals and titles for long and active work in various spheres. Congratulating those present on the Day of the city Taron Margaryan expressed gratitude for devoted work and the contribution to the welfare of Yerevan and Yerevanians. «I am sure that the Day of our dear city is a double holiday for those who try to do their best to make Yerevan more convenient and beautiful. On the event of the 2796th anniversary, for their special contribution and fruitful work in the sphere of culture the Golden medal of Yerevan Mayor was handed to Ralf Yirikyan, Yevgeni Bibin, Lusik Aguletsi, Hakob Abrahamyan, Armen Alaverdya, Garnik Grigoryan, Asan tamoyan, Ruzanna Asatryan Robert Karayan, Harutyun Topikyan, Ghukas Ulikhanyan, Artur Mkrtchyan, Armen Gevorgayn, Garnik Hovsepyan, Ashot Gharibyan and Meruzhan Asatryan. Yerevan Mayor's Gold medal was also given to Roman Gabrielyan, Arkadi Harutyunyan, Gevorg Shamilyan, Erik Amirkhanyan and Hayk Ispiryan for courage,bravery and selflessness shown during the defence of homeland borders.
For the significant contribution in the sphere of health care the leader of the Clinic of Plastic Reconstruction Surgery and Microsurgery of the University clinic N 1,the chair of the plastic Surgery of Yerevan State medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi, candidate of MS docent Artavazd Sahakyan was awarded the title of Honorary Doctor of Yerevan.
For the significant contribution and many years of professional activity in the sphere of culture the conductor, Honorary Artist Ruben Asatryan was awarded with the title of the Honorary Art Worker of Yerevan.
For the significant contribution and many years of professional activity in the sphere of sport the title of Honorary Sport Worker was given to the RA Honorary Physical Culture and Sport Worker Razmik Stepanyan.
For the significant contribution and devoted state and public activity the title of Honorary Employee was awarded to the Advisor to the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of RA Narine Balayan.
For the significant contribution to the sphere of architecture and urban development the title of the Honorary Builder of Yerevan was given to Vladimir Margaryan.
On the event of the 2796th anniversary of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan awarded the gold medal «Yerevan» to the staffs of the Holy Mother See of Echmiadzin and Hayordats Tun of the AGBU of Nork, the center for creative technologies «Tumo» and the Armenian branch of the Armenian Fund for Relief. Congratulating all the awardees on the event Taron Margaryan wished them new achievement and expressed confidence that Yerevan development is directly connected with devoted work of each of us. The awardees thanked Taron Margaryan for the appreciation stressing that the awards oblige them to do more for their dear city.
