The Traditional "School Council" Meeting Held at Yerevan Municipality
On the occasion of the International Day for Protection of Children, a meeting of the "School Council" was held at Yerevan Municipality. The event brought together 64 ninth-grade students who assumed the roles of members of the Yerevan Council of Elders for one day.
First Deputy Mayor of Yerevan and Acting Mayor of Yerevan Armen Pambukhchyan chaired the meeting. Of the 78 reports submitted, five were selected as the best by the Department of Children and Social Protection, the General Education Department, as well as representatives of the factions of the Yerevan City Council.
All reports submitted for the Council's consideration were approved. The proposals addressed issues including the prevention of drug use and distribution, children's participation in decision-making, waste management, stray dogs, and construction-related pollution.
