Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Armenia, H.E. Mr. Alessandro Ferranti. Congratulating the Ambassador on the occasion of assuming his diplomatic mission in Armenia, Mayor Avinyan wished him success in this responsible endeavor.
Referring to the agenda of bilateral relations between Yerevan and Italian cities, Tigran Avinyan emphasized the importance of the memorandum of understanding signed in 2024 between the two capitals, noting that it has created a new platform for cooperation in the field of urban governance.
A Treaty on Friendship and Cooperation between Yerevan and Naples is also expected to be signed in the near future.
Thanking for the warm welcome and the willingness to expand cooperation, Ambassador Alessandro Ferranti particularly emphasized the tourism potential between the two countries and noted that within the scope of his authority, he will support the implementation of new joint projects.
