Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin. Greeting the guest, Mayor Avinyan attached importance to the relationship between Yerevan and large cities of Russia and stressed that there are perspectives for further development of those ties. As an example of the successful partnership Tigran Avinyan outlined the changes in the processes of drawing up design permissions and architectural and planning assignment which was done taking into account the experience of the sister-city Rostov-on-Don.

Ambassador Kopirkin in his turn marked that the successful partnership existing between Yerevan and Russian cities will make it possible to expand cooperation frames and develop it in various fields of urban economy.

 The head of the Armenian-Russian commercial representation Anna Donchenko was present at the meeting as well. Referring to the business circles, Mayor Avinyan attached importance to the active participation of Russian companies in the tenders announced by Yerevan Municipality.
