Dear representatives of the Armenian Mass Media,

I cordially congratulate you on your professional holiday-the Press Day. 220 years have passed since the first Armenian periodical “Azdarar” (“The Herald”) was issued. And since that day media has become an indivisible part of our life. Being one of the most important and influential instruments of democratic, legal statehood, Mass Media has its significant role in the formation of a civil society.
Witnessing all the programs and events being implemented in Yerevan, with your consistent and unprejudiced publications you have had and carry on playing a significant part in the life of our city contributing to the difficult but vital task of making our capital more prosperous and comfortable.
