Dear co-citizens,
Since 1990 world community marks October 1 as the International Day of Elderly People and in my opinion, it is one more excellent occasion to show our respect for older generation.
I can state that special honour and respect for representatives of older generation, for our grandparents are genetically instilled in Armenians and are handed down from generation to generation. Our elderly people keep our traditions and with their experience and knowledge they give additional stimulus for new achievements. We, Armenians, certainly don’t need special days to express our love and respect for older generation. They are always at the focus of our attention.
Dear grandmothers and grandfathers,
I cordially respect you on the International Day of Elderly People and wish you to have strong health and be surrounded with care and warmth. Be sure that your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and all of us in general always need your rich experience and good advice. I also assure that your problems are always at the focus of my personal attention and at the attention of Yerevan Municipality. And we will go on doing our best to relieve your problems and to create all necessary conditions to provide comfortable atmosphere for you.
