Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan’s memory tribute to children of besieged Leningrad
On the occasion of the Day of Lifting the Siege of Leningrad Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan laid a wreath at the memorial to the children of the besieged of Leningrad paying the memory tribute to the thousands of people perished during the blockade of Leningrad. The memorial was unveiled in 2015, within the frames of the cooperation between Yerevan and Saint Petersburg. The memorial presented by the northern capital of Russia is a special gesture of gratitude for the caring attitude and shelter the children escaped from besieged Leningrad got in Armenia.
