Cameras being installed in municipal preschools of Yerevan: around 1,700 acquired

Last week, the ticketing system recorded a total of 2,439,525 validations: 92,151 in trolleybuses, 509,514 in the metro, and 1,837,860 in buses. Compared to the previous report, this number has increased by 43,000.

The modernization of the external lighting network on David Malian street has been fully completed, with energy-saving LED lights installed. The process is undergoing on Artashisyan, Saralanji, Charents, Gurgen Mahari, and Shirak streets, with a total of 580 LED lights installed so far.

Cameras are being installed in Yerevan's community-owned kindergartens primarily to ensure children's safety. This project aims to make kindergarten operation more manageable. A total of around 1,700 cameras have been acquired, with 158 already installed during the first phase.

The "Ambulance" company has introduced a callback system, enabling 100% call response. No calls are delayed or left unanswered. This system will also be implemented in community healthcare centers.

From data collected in March 2025 by 173 air monitoring stations installed at construction sites in Yerevan, the average Air Quality Index (AQI) values for PM2.5 and PM10 were 91 and 37, respectively, corresponding to the "good" or "moderate" pollution range.

The 2024 summary of air pollution by Hydromet indicates a reduction in dust pollution in Yerevan compared to previous years. During the previous years, Yerevan had the highest dust level among observed cities, however, in 2024 it ranked fourth.

Yerevan Municipality has developed a four-year program to improve air quality. This comprehensive project will include targeted actions, specific metrics, and all possible steps to reduce air pollution.
