Cooperation between Yerevan and Amman is going on
Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the Deputy Mayor of Amman, the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Yusef Al Shavarbeh. Greeting the guests the Mayor thanked him for visiting Yerevan and noted that this visit would promote strengthening the cooperation and ties between the two capitals.
«Today the Armenian-Jordan relations are on the high level and they are not only business ties but friendship as well. It is proved by the common history of Armenia and Armenian people with the Arab world. Taking into account the example of our countries I am sure we will strengthen and develop the interaction and friendship between our capitals», said Taron Margaryan.
Deputy Mayor of Amman Yusef Al Shavarbeh in his turn thanked for warm welcome and attaching particular importance to the willingness of Yerevan Mayor in the issue of cooperation expansion between the two capitals stressed that it's another good opportunity to discuss the process of implementation of cooperation programs and to outline future plans.
«Today there is really a big potential to develop cooperation between two capitals and have to outline that we are interested and willing to develop partnership and friendship with Yerevan. Partnership development and experience exchange in some spheres are important for us. It is said that the friendship between cities starts with the friendship of mayors so it's nice to state that the mayors of Yerevan and Amman are not only colleagues but also good friends», said Yusef Al Shavarbeh and conveyed the warm greetings and congratulations of Amman Mayor Aqel Biltaji to Mayor Taron Margaryan.
