The State of Emergency announced in the country with the aim to prevent new coronavirus spreading made all municipal medical establishments reconsider their working pace and schedules.

The groups of Emergency Medical Service are equipped and ready to be standing at the front.

The director of the Emergency Medical Service CJSC Taguhi Stepanyan informed that within this period 1299 citizens were taken to the Infection clinic of Nork.
The municipal policlinics have been working overtime, even on Saturdays and Sundays, since February. X-ray rooms are also working overtime. At the entrances to the policlinics people get temperature checkout and in case of any symptoms of the virus they are isolated.
The groups arrived from abroad and those in contact with infected people are isolated at their homes for 14 days. On the first day they are visited by physicians and then they get everyday phone calls from policlinics and inform physicians about their health state.
Up today home visits have been paid to 2597 citizens. 1497 people have got out of control, 1100 people are still under control.

125 of monitored citizens were sent to Nork Infection clinic to get the test and with 65 of them the result was positive.
Yerevan Municipality purchased all necessary protective materials and distributed them to municipal establishments to provide safety of medical workers. Thus, they Municipality purchased 50 thousand masks, 17 thousand medical gowns,45 thousand gloves and disinfecting solutions. The problem of transporting medical workers has been solved as well: buses were provided to take medical workers to work and from work. This information was given by the head of the Department of Health of the Municipality of Yerevan Kamsar Babinyan.

In spite of all preventive measures 10 medical workers have got infected with coronavirus and 41 ones have been isolated.
32 medical workers responded to the appeal of the Minister of Health and joined the staffs fighting against the virus.
According to Yerevan Mayor’s decision, more than 1800 municipal medical workers will get rewards. With this aim all the fund of quarterly bonus rewards provided for the employees of the Municipality and administrative districts staffs for March has been transferred to municipal medical establishments.
