Yerevan is ready to carry on interaction with Kishinev: Cooperation Agreement is under preparation

The First Deputy Mayor Armen Pambukhchyan hosted the delegation headed by Kishinev Mayor Ion Cheban which is in Yerevan to participate in the EBRD annual meeting.
Deputy Mayor Suren Grigoryan, the Honorary Consul of Armenia to Moldova Tatul Davoyan, heads of structural divisions were present at the meeting as well.
Greeting the guests on behalf of the Mayor, Armen Pamabukhchyan stressed that Yerevan is interested in the development of bilateral ties in several directions. In 2000, Yerevan and Kishinev became sister-cities. The cooperation agreement between the two capital cities is currently under confirmation.
As Armen Pambukhchyan emphasized the importance of development of friendship and partnership between Yerevan and Kishinev which is based on the friendship between the countries and people. The city authorities attach particular importance to the implementation of concrete programs and the experience exchange in various spheres of city governance.
The possibilities of implementation of experience exchange and joint programs in the fields of education, culture and other spheres of urban economy were discussed as well. In particular, it was offered to hold Days of Armenia and Yerevan in Kishinev. The details of installing the bust to the Armenian statesman Manuk Mirzoyan in Yerevan were also talked over.
Armen Pambukhchyan restated the willingness for cooperation and expressed confidence that the delegation’s visit to Yerevan will be mutually beneficial.
