Yerevan has a new General Plan: first meeting of 3rd convocation of Council of Elders has been held
In the coming years, Yerevan will developing according to the approved new General Plan. At the first meeting of the 3rd convocation, the Council of Elders approved the draft decision. To develop this important document, all necessary data on the city were collected and combined, which became the basis for the implementation of the project. Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan noted that this is a transitional stage, after which all work will be transferred to the digital platform, so that urban planning becomes even more logical and easier in terms of calculations. Yerevan is the only local government body in the Republic of Armenia that has put into operation the GIS system, and the next step will be the transfer of the General Plan to the digital field, to the digital map.

6th Shahumyan street adjacent to the Yerablur military pantheon (begins from the intersection of Mamikonyan-Shahumyan 6th street, reaches the Glory Path of the Yerablur military pantheon - the area adjacent to the Church of the Holy Martyrs Vardanants), the alley (begins from the current 6th Shahumyan street and reaches school N91) and the dead end (located between 6th and 7th Shahumyan Streets) are united into one street named after the hero of Artsakh Ashot Ghulyan (Bekor).

The next meeting of the Yerevan Council of Elders is scheduled for October 15.
