From April 14 to 19, the "Yerevan Mayor’s Cup" international boxing tournament brought together athletes from 14 countries.
Thanks to a year-long negotiation effort by  Yerevan Municipality and the Armenian Boxing Federation, this tournament has been included in the European Boxing Federation’s official calendar.
The Mayor of Yerevan attended the final matches of this sporting event. Tigran Avinyan emphasized that the Municipality, together with the Armenian Boxing Federation, organized the tournament with great responsibility, believing that athletic success is built through consistent effort and a supportive environment.
"This tournament proves that Yerevan is steadily claiming its place in the international sports agenda. Hosting sporting events at this level strengthens our city's reputation and opens new opportunities for the development of sports, the progress of athletes, and the promotion of sporting culture," said the Mayor, wishing the athletes strength, endurance, and determination during this crucial stage.
