Tigran Avinyan, Mayor of Yerevan, met with a delegation of French business leaders representing various companies. The meeting was also attended by Olivier Decottignies, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia.
Presenting the city’s urban development projects, including those offering significant investment opportunities, Mayor Avinyan emphasized that Yerevan is open to innovative ideas, advanced technologies, and sustainable investments. The discussions covered several initiatives, including the modernization of the public transportation system, the advancement of digital transformation projects, particularly the introduction of a Geographic Information System (GIS), to enhance the efficiency, transparency, and flexibility of municipal governance, the reconstruction of the Noragyugh district, and comprehensive waste management reforms, along with other projects.
The French business representatives raised a number of questions regarding the city’s long-term development agenda. 
In response, Mayor Avinyan underscored that the centuries-old friendship between Armenia and France continues to be strengthened by mutually beneficial economic cooperation.
