The opening of the new season of the official tourist route “Yerevan City Tour” took place on the Day of Children’s Rights Defense. On this event an interesting surprise was rendered to the pupils of different municipality-subordinated schools who make excellent progress at school. The were given the opportunity to make use of the tour free of charge and to tour about the capital by double-decker buses. The children were accompanied by cartoon heroes who provided everybody’s high mood. After the excursion the pupils joined the action held in Azatutyan square.
The head of the division of tourism of the Municipality Department of Culture and Tourism Maria Baraghamyan informed that similar interesting actions had been planned for the season.
“The official tourist route “Yerevan City Tour” is the only one in the region. Today it plays an important role in the tourism infrastructure of the capital. Within its two-year history it has been able to arouse interest not only of the townspeople but of the guests of the city as well. It is expected that the number of those who make use of the tour will increase this year. But we will discuss the details later”, said Mari Baraghamyan adding that the route works every day except for Monday, at three different hours: at 11.00, at 15.00 and at 18.00. Like previous years the tour starts at the square of France.
