Major Reconstruction on Interregional Roads Leading to Yerevan
Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, accompanied by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, Davit Khudatyan, and the Head of Kotayk Region, Aharon Sahakyan, reviewed the progress of the major reconstruction on the road passing through “Koreayi Dzor” (Korea Gorge), which connects Kanakeravan to the Arabkir administrative district. The reconstruction project is currently in its final stage. The road had previously been in a severely deteriorated condition.
Mayor Avinyan noted that, during his discussions with the Minister, they had addressed several issues concerning priority road sections, many of which have already been resolved. Once completed, the reconstructed road will serve as an alternative to the Davtashen Bridge and is expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion in the area.
They also reviewed the ongoing partial-depth repair works on the road leading to the Proshyan community along the Yerevan–Ashtarak highway.
