On the International Day of Children’s Rights Defense Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan together with his wife and five children visited “Haghtanak” park where festive events had been organized in teamwork with the Municipality. The Mayor walked about the park, talked to parents and congratulated children wishing them peace, health and happy childhood. “Any parent throughout the world thinks his children to be the most precious treasure. This notion is highly developed among Armenian parents, particularly taking into account that we love and cherish not only our own children but all other children as well. And this is one of our national features which I wish we never lose. However I am sure that we will never lose it as Armenian parents in fact never stop taking care of their children even when their children already have their own ones. And from this point of view I always attach particular importance to this holiday, because this is our holiday too as we are the children of our parents and their uninterrupted care is really always pleasant and awaited. And today congratulating all children I wish them to live a happy life,to have a carefree and peaceful childhood”, stressed Taron Margaryan.

Taking the opportunity the parents expressed their gratitude to the Mayor for various festive events organized in different parts of the capital and for providing high mood of children.
Attaching importance to the complete organization of children’s recreation the Mayor assured that complex improvement of the parks, squares and yard areas will be continued in the capital. “We will go on doing our best to provide comfort and convenience for children. In addition to well-arranged yards, parks, playing attractions, football pitches we will go on the realization of various projects and events directed at making children’s everyday life more interesting. By the way, a big investment project is to be carried out in “Haghtanak” park as a result of which this recreation zone will become more convenient for the townspeople and the guests of the capital", said the Mayor.
The park was full of people and festive mood reigned everywhere. All the attractions were overcrowded and children’s dance and song groups entertained people with their performances.
