The actions included in «Erebuni –Yerevan 2797» celebration started from the early morning were completed with the gala-concert «My warm and kind city».The RA President Serzh Sargsyan, the All-Armenian Catholicos Garegin II, the President of the National Assembly Galust Sahakyan, the RA Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, members of parliament, members of RA Government and of the Council of Elders of Yerevan, representatives of the delegations of sister and partner cities of Yerevan and numerous guests were present at the concert.

Greeting the townspeople, officials and guests of the capital gathered in Republic square Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan noted that the City Day is another opportunity to present the programs aimed at the development of the capital and to outline the achievements.
«Today our capital, which has a great centuries-old spiritual and cultural heritage, is full of pride and inspiration.
The capital of all Armenians is celebrating its 2797th anniversary, and we traditionally celebrate this day with our friends and numerous guests. Our city which has ancient history, is presented to the world as a modern city, proudly taken the way of sustainable development. The city, where the progress in all the spheres is obvious. We have real achievement in the spheres of urban economy, road construction, improvement in other fields and what is the most important- we have many examples of solving concrete social problems of our residents.
New colours are added every day to the palette of our city life, and many of them are quite new for us. They are new words, new professional idea, many of which become close to our mentality and can become traditional and annual. Each epoch and each generation make the city's atmosphere special and leave their indelible traces. Today is our turn and we must keep up with the rapid pace of the world's development.
«Erebuni-Yerevan» celebration is a special bridge between homeland and Diaspora, and a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our ties and to feel proud of our capital together. «Erebuni-Yerevan» is also a wonderful occasion to treat one another with kindness, love, respect and to pass all this to our capital with the willingness to go on making our warm and kind city flourish. Our city should be Comfortable, Well-Arranged, Cultural, Festive, Bright and Smiling. Let's congratulate each other once again, exchange our warmth and love and say altogether, «Happy birthday, my warm and kind city, happy birthday, Yerevan!
