Total number of overhauled pre-schools is 43: Mayor Marutyan visits pre-schools
Overhauling of pre-schools is among the large-scale programs being implemented in various spheres of the city economy. In a few days some more of renovated pre-schools are going to re-open. Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan visited kindergartens N107, N5 and N144 to watch the work done.
This program is financed both from the community budget and the Energy Efficiency Program of Yerevan. The pre-schools involved in the program have not been overhauled since their foundation thus it was decided to fulfill complex overhauling.
“You know that ensuring best conditions for kids in pre-schools is among out priorities. And what is important, we don’t simply perform current renovations but provide complete overhauling: improve the infrastructures, energy efficiency, seismic stability. In 2020, we financed from the city budget overhauling of 12 kindergartens, the budget of 2021 financed overhauling of 8 pre-schools and the process is completed in 3 ones and 14 pre-schools are being overhauled by the Energy Efficiency program. The budget of Yerevan of 2022 involves the work to be done in 9 kindergartens. Accordingly, within 3 years the number of overhauled pre-schools will reach 43”, stressed Hayk Marutyan.
After overhauling kindergartens get light, colourful and comfortable rooms, a spacious assembly hall and a gym. Besides, the program includes repairing of roofs, replacement of windows and doors with new ones, renovation of sewage systems, inside communication lines, construction of more comfortable lavatories for children.
Overall, there are 161 municipal kindergartens in the capital. After completion of the program which covers the years of 2020,2021 and 2022, the problem of a quarter of pre-schools will be solved.
