The ceremony of awarding the pupils won in the city stage of the School Olympiad with the first degree diplomas took place in the City Hall.
The diplomas and prizes established by the Municipality of Yerevan were handed to the pupils by Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan. «It's very important for us to have well-educated and smart pupils in Yerevan: years later you will go on today's efforts to make Yerevan more prosperous. I am sure that the commissions were strict enough. And I am also confident that today you have quite advanced knowledge. Congratulations!», said Aram Sukiasyan.
16 school subjects are included in the all republican olympiad.1655 pupils of the 7-12th grades of the basic, secondary, high and private schools of the capital took part in the city stage. According to the results of the city stage 343 pupils deserved Yerevan Municipality diplomas 64 of which were of 1st degree, 134 ones of the 2nd and 145 of the 3rd degree.
The head of the Department of General Education Gayaneh Soghomonyan stressed that from the beginning of the olympiad on February 1 till the end no violation was recorded, no complaint was received.
The School Subject Olympiad was held in accordance with the procedure established by the RA MSE. The pupils of PhysMath School, «Quantum» college, «Shirakatsi» lycee and «AYB» educational center were awarded with the Municipality diplomas as well.
