Within the frames of the 2nd trench of the investment program of sustainable urban development the construction of the new motorway connecting Davashen with Ashtarak highway is going on within the frames of the cooperation of Yerevan Municipality with the Asian Bank for Development.

By the instruction of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan the process of construction is under everyday control of persons in charge.
Yerevan Deputy Mayor Vahe Nikoyan watched the process of implementation on the spot.
“Owing to the realization of the road construction the transport flows in the capital have significantly been become less heavy recently. In this context the new road connecting Davtashen with Ashtarak highway is of high importance. I’d like to note that the construction is going on in accordance with the schedule and it is planned to finish it at the end of 2018”, said Vahe Nikoyan.
The new road will have 6 traffic lanes with the width of 28 m, and the length of 5.4 km. After putting it into operation Davtashen administrative district will be connected with Ashtarak highway.
The new motorway will correspond to international standards of quality. During the construction all necessary communication lines will be replaced from the carriage way and the road will be provided with LED lighting.
