The results of “Yerevan Mayor’s Cup” international tournament of table tennis and badminton have been summarized. 4 sports were included in the tournament held in Yerevan for the first time: basketball, volleyball, table tennis and badminton.

“Yerevan Mayor’s Cup” international tournament is going on. Table tennis competitions started today. Players from Armenia, Georgia, Russia, UAE and Italy participated in the tournament. “Yerevan Mayor’s Cup” is organized in cooperation with the international federations.

Within the frames of the “Yerevan Mayor’s Cup” contest badminton tournament has kicked off. 65 sportsmen from Armenia, Georgia, Bulgaria, Cyprus and the Maldives are participating in the children and youth’ competitions. “Yerevan Mayor’s Cup” is organized in cooperation with the international federations and follows the internationally set rules.

“Yerevan Open” International Gymnastics Tournament has been held in Yerevan for the second time. Teams form 7 countries-Armenia, Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus and Iran -  competed in the tournament. Russia is the winner in team competition, Armenia is the runner up and Uzbekistan comes third.

A new sport school is going to constructed at 1, Khaghakh Don str. In Erebuni district. The design of the sport centre is already ready, the construction is scheduled for 2025-2026.

Sambo World Cup is held in Yerevan on April 4-5. First Deputy Mayor Armen Pambukhchyan took part in the opening ceremony.

The Sport School of Gymnastics of Olympic Reserve after Albert Azaryan will soon have a new address. The sport school will be located in the area adjacent to the Hrazdan stadium and occupy the area of 1.5 hectares.

Yerevan Figure Skating and Hockey Sport School is getting a new impetus. Besides participating in some big sport events, the students attending the school have got the opportunity to train with Olympic champion Alexey Urmanov who is delivering sport gatherings with the students of the sport school from March 26 to April 6.
